Fiji is the ideal location if you are traveling as a family or with people that simply don’t want to surf. Resorts offer the full range of water sports and have some of the clearest blue water and white sand beaches in the world. It is truly a tropical paradise with some excellent surf and diving spots. Fiji has surf most of the year, with the best swells coming from the southerly fronts originating in the Roaring Forties south of Australia. These cold fronts occur year round, though they're most frequent in the dry season, which occurs from March to October. The tropical cyclones which pass through Northern Australia between November and February also produce some excellent waves in Fiji, coinciding with Fiji's wet season.
Weather: Along the coastal areas of Fiji, the weather is warm and pleasant, without great variations in temperature, the average being around 26 degrees Celsius. Humidity is at it's peak between December and March, and the cooler months are May through to October. Rainfall varies in different areas of Fiji but the driest months are June through to September. Water temperature doesn't vary much at all year round with the temperatures ranging from 21-26 degrees Celsius.

The resort employs experienced boatmen with custom built surf boats and a surfing instructor on site. Trips are organized to Wilkes, Mini Cloudbreak, Desperations, or Lighthouse daily (which are approx a 20 minute boat ride away) and on most Saturdays you may be able to surf Cloudbreak or Swimming Pools. Boats leave at 7am and return when you wish. Afternoon surf also available.

BATILUVA BEACH RESORT
Batiluva Beach resort is located on Yanuca Island home to world famous Bega Lagoon surrounded by lush jungle and and the resorts private white sand beach. Batiluva is Yanuca Islands original and first small surf resort and caters for up to 20 guests. Acitvities include Surfing, Fishing, Diving, Snorkeling and LOTS of great food. SURF BREAKS
Frigates, a world class left, featured in Surfer, WindSurfing and Surfing Magazines is located on the reef at Frigate Pass in the middle of the crystal blue waters of Beqa Lagoon. Likened to Cloudbreak, Frigates is one of the most consistent surf breaks in Fiji. The predominate south-east trade winds means it is off-shore most of the time
GETTING THERE
Fly into Nadi airport transport willbe arranged to meet you and your boards at the airport . The trip from Nadi to our Pacific Harbor boat launch is a scenic 1.5 hour island tour of Vita Levu's world renown Gold Coast. Once arriving at Batiluva, in the middle of Fiji's Beqa Lagoon, the staff will carry your gear to your room and you can head straight out to meet the Surf Boat to Frigate Pass

NAGIGIA ISLAND RESORT
Located at Cape Washington, south of Suva Nagigia Island is situated at Cape Washington and is about 1 km off the South West tip of Kadavu Island surrounded by a lagoon reef perfect for snorkeling. There are many interesting walks on property and great views to be seen. There is reference "King Kong” because the famous movie was partly filmed underneath the mountain Nabukelevuira. This mountain is now known as "King Kong Mountain" and it overlooks the resort and nearby surf breaks. There are no crowds at Nagigia Island Reefs. Its very isolated and surfers are regulated.

SURF BREAKS
Nagigia Island Resort has 5 surf breaks, depending upon wind direction, tide and swell. Nagigia Island is situated on the northern part of the outer reef that curves around almost 270 degrees, picking up wind and swell from many different directions.
- King Kong Left a 40m long wave that has a very deep water take-off, reducing risk of coral scratchs and making the break a fun ride.
- King Kong Right This is often 6ft plus face height and on most days, the size is more. This is an exciting very fast tube for the more advanced rider.
- The Bombi 10 minutes from Nagigia Island Resort by boat and can be seen from the resort deck. This break has not been surfed yet and probably needs tow in.
- Middle Daku Daku is the Fijian name for this beautiful sandy beach. In the middle of the beach, 60 metres from the sand, is a coral break. It breaks both right and left but the right is generally better

SURFING
Waidroka is the ONLY main island resort in Fiji that runs surf trips to World Famous Frigates and is the ONLY resort that surfs World Famous Pipe, Resorts Left, Serua Rights to name some of the local surf spots. The Resort operates a fleet of 5 professionally equipped surf and dive boats. The surf trips to our local spots are all within 5-10 minutes from the resort and to Frigates takes approx. 30 minutes onboard the "Fiji Explorer" or "Stingray" a brand new twin 90 HP . Fiji Explorer is a 30-foot catamaran style boat with a full roof, padded seats, and a toilet. Stingray is a brand new aluminum mono-hull with a 30-foot roof. Also used is the boat Wave Hunter for some of the surfing trips. It is a 29-foot mono-hull with twin 60 HP motors and a 24-foot roof. Boats remain with you while you enjoy surfing the waves. Between surf sets you can relax in the boat and enjoy lunch, snacks and drinks while watching the surf action

GETTING THERE
taxis are used for airport pickup services. This is the most convenient way of traveling in Fiji. The driver will be waiting for you at the airport using a sign with your name as identification. The drive from Nadi airport to Waidroka takes approximately 2.5 hours
