Purchasing a travel insurance policy provides peace of mind and, depending on the level of cover you purchase, may cover you for/against the following items.


Australian travel:

  • Cancellation costs
  • Additional expenses / medical evacuation
  • Rental vehicle excess
  • Return of rental vehicle
  • Mountain closure due to adverse snow conditions
  • Snow skiing / boarding and/or golfing benefits
  • Snow skiing / boarding and/or golfing equipment replacement
  • Domestic services
  • Accidental death
  • Luggage and personal effects (limit on camera, video camera or personal computer $4,000, all other items $700. Surfboards and snowboards / bindings / boots are included as luggage items up to $700 per board or item against damage by an airline or theft)
  • Personal liability


International travel:

  • Cancellation costs
  • Medical / additional expenses / medical evacuation
  • Loss of income (sub-limit of $1500 per month)
  • Out of pocket expenses (sub-limit of $50 per day)
  • Travel delay (sub-limit of $200 per 12 hours delay)
  • Return airfare
  • Resumption of trip
  • Missed connection
  • Rental vehicle excess
  • Return of rental vehicle
  • Domestic pets
  • Trip disruption
  • Hijacking
  • Withdrawal of services
  • Mountain closure due to adverse snow conditions
