Furano is a great ski mountain located quite centrally on the Island Of Hokkaido & is approximately 4 hrs transfer from Saporro Airport. Its a world class resort having hosted  numerous world cup downhill races  & receives over 9 metres of some of the  driest snow in the world. Its a great resort  to base yourself, offering 2 main mountain zones (Kitanomine & Forano)  to hit as well as being an easy transfer to a bunch of nearby ski areas, including Tomamu, kamui & Asahidake on a multi resort pass. Furano itself boasts the most number of bluebird days  in Hokkaido  & never  gets crowded so is  a wonderful resort to consider. The resort boasts the fastest cable car in Japan with10 lifts, over 23 trails  & a vertical drop of some 957 metres from top to bottom.

Furano is a great family option as well with equal beginner, intermediate & Advanced runs for both skiers and snowboarders to enjoy as well as a kids daycare  centre for the small tackers. Downtown Furano is only 10 mins away offering a  friendly & wide range of restaurant/ bar options for you to discover. Both Kitanomine & Furano Zone areas offer plenty of accomodation styles  from pension style through to major hotels along with  Scenic Onsens close by to refresh your  ski tired muscles.
