DREAMWEAVER SURFING ADVENTURES
Bali - Lembongan - Lombok - Sumbawa
A Great Budget Live-aboard Surf Boat in Indonesia
About Dreamweaver Surfing Adventures
Dreamweaver Surfing Adventures is an Australian owned Indonesian company that takes
surfers on the trip of a lifetime, aboard their 80ft vessel Dreamweaver. With seven years experience in surf
charters, they know surfers and what they want from a surfing holiday - waves, waves and more waves!
Dreamweaver has just had a major refit and has been modelled on the classic Indonesian Jukung outrigger specifically for surf charters.
Why this style? Firstly they are an Indonesian company, therefore an Indonesian style boat. Also this style
of boat is very stable and fast, and has a shallow draught, thus being able to anchor in shallow, smoother bays,
allowing for a more comfortable nights sleep unlike some other deep keeled boats.
About the Boat - Dreamweaver
The boat is powered by a 250hp diesel engine, making it safer,(no huge amounts of
petrol on board) faster,(less travel time between waves) more reliable, and better able to handle rough conditions.
Dreamweaver now has air conditioning in the lounge and sleeping areas and sleeps
up to fourteen guests comfortably in large bunk style beds (departs with twelve guests unless booked as a charter
to avoid over crowding the surf).
There is ample storage space for packs and surfboards and a lot more room downstairs
with big comfy leather lounges.
Three high carbohydrate meals provided daily from our fully catered kitchen plus
snacks, cold soft drinks, bottled water and beer each day.
Onboard facilities include: Stereo, TV, CD and DVD with a selection of movies (feel
free to bring your favourite music and movies), shower, toilet, deep sea fishing equipment, snorkelling gear,
spear guns and hand spears, 5 KVA generator providing 240-volt power with international adapters for charging
video cameras and appliances, Zodiac powered by 15hp motor, marine radio contact, mobile phone, safety equipment
and comprehensive first aid kit.
All guest are picked up at approximately 8am on departure date and board Dreamweaver
at Serangan Beach, about 15 min's drive from Kuta. Then we head for the island of Nusa Lembongan, where there
is a choice of two rights and a left, Shipwrecks, Lacerations, and Playgrounds.
We will happily take you to the breaks in our zodiac, or we can take you to Lembongan
to check out village life on the island. After dinner, you may like to have a game of pool and a beer or two
before boarding our boat for a good nights sleep.
Early next morning, while you are still sleeping the crew will up anchor and head
for the island of Lombok, where your adventure really begins at one of the longest left hand tubes in the world,
Desert Point, voted by Tracks Magazine as the best left hander anywhere.
From here on its up to you and the other guests along with the Captain and his knowledge
and experience as to where you go next. You will visit world class surf breaks like Scar Reef, Super Sucks,
Yo Yo's, and when conditions allow, some excellent breaks along the coast of South Lombok and other semi secret
spots can also be surfed.
At the end of your week with us you will be taken back to your hotel in Bali or
to the airport if you desire, you may also like to spend a few days on Nusa Lembongan where there is a good
range of accommodation to suit all tastes.
Desert Point: A long walled and incredibly hollow left
hander which on its day can break up to 300 meters in length growing in size from take off to end. Best between
3-8ft.
Scar Reef: A walley left peak where you drive into several
backdoor sections all offering tube rides to write home about. Best between 2-10ft.
Super Sucks: Has been called the longest most intense tube
ever ridden. Breaking over a long live coral reef this wave reels faultlessly for 150 metres. Get pitted from
takeoff to exit. No top turns here when it’s on. Best 3-6ft.
Yo Yos: Catches all the swell. It consists of 2 rights
(sigh of relief from all those regular footers), one a wedge peak breaking off of a cliff face, the other a
walley right reef in the middle of the bay usually surfed when everywhere else is too small. Best 2-6ft.
We do go to some other semi secret spots if conditions allow. We highly recommend
wearing booties and some light rubber and even helmets as all spots break over reef.
Great Surf and Local Knowledge
The captain and crew have a thorough knowledge of all conditions, tides, currents,
swell and winds, ensuring that you arrive safely and comfortably to the optimum surfing location.
