The islands of West Timor and Roti have some well-known, little surfed breaks (like T-Lands) as well as quite a few secret spots.

T-Land is the ultimate fun wave, a lefthander where you can smack reo after reo, ride the nose forever or just cruise your way through section after section.

There is good accommodation right on the beach close to T-Land. There are also good waves on nearby islands, accessible by local ferries or through yacht charters.

Very few surfers head to Timor. The best surfing is from April to October, when southeast Trade Winds are offshore at most of the breaks. The surf is consistent and offshore, there are a variety of lefts, with some good rights, and waves suit all standards, ranging from mellow to hello!
