TUAMOTU ATOLLS
Located northeast of the Society Islands and comprised of 78 "low" islands
covering over 12,000 square miles, the Tuamotu Atolls are the largest chain of coral atolls in the world and
one of the last great frontiers in surf travel.
Each atoll is a tiny paradise of palm-laden coral beaches and motu (islets) rising
just several feet above sea level... dotted with small villages where the simple Polynesian lifestyle and clear-blue
lagoons beckon to surfers, romantics and divers alike. The surf is world class and uncrowded. Four of the atolls
feature tourist-class properties.
